If I was a kid, this would be my chopper

Disk brakes, spring seat, 5 speed. This is a one year only bike that is worth a LOT of money.

Matt and Bubba up to no good….

Matt and Bubba put Matt’s quad cam engine into the hardtail tonight. He said it was a pain in the ass as they had to pull the back head off to shoehorn it in. Tight fit, and well worth it, lookin’ great! Bubba is workin’ on a XS650 that’s also gonna be bad ass! I’ll keep updating pics of their builds as well….

tank progress

The flake paint job is not going well. I need another kind of clear to make it work, so instead of showing how the tank is getting sanded down again, I’ll show what the tank is going to look like (somewhat) after its done. Then you can come back and say “you idiot it looks nothing like that”…. so just imagine purple instead of red and without the scale effect. And that is what it may resemble…… if all goes well. Maybe.

frame mods

OK It’s a 1966 frame that had a hardtail welded on long ago. The frame backbone did not line up, so out comes the rosebud and the hammer. It still needs other mods but though you might like to see. Always fun to heat metal up cherry red and beat on it with a hammer. Big Henry taught me that!

Now I gotta start welding!!!

Paughco Tank for the 69′

This is a nice old paughco tank I picked up in a swap meet. Great score!!! I brazed the bottom of the tank first as it had a couple of dents that might be leakers after a while, but sorry no photo’s…. But I do have photo’s of the tank going through the process…..
