Basementchoppers started in Wilmington Delaware in the Basement of a rented house. A bunch of guys got together, spit balled ideas and built bikes with what we had available. The shop has moved to Memphis TN at the beginning of the year, and is building in popularity and size. Only one of the other original builders moved to Memphis with me, but we welcome anyone that would like to learn and help out to stop by.

I have been a journeyman machinist for over 15years and currently work as a Millwright/mechanic on the maintenance department of the second largest steel company in America. I went to Williamson Free school of Mechanical trades and the University of Delaware for Machine tool Technology and Mechanical Engineering respectively. My co-owner/partner in crime is a graduate from MMI and also a very talented mechanic, who is into horsepower and going really really fast.

great article– toms dad— I am now 84 and he is 47—Will he ever stop racing ? who are you ?
Tommy is a good friend of mine who used to work with me. I bought his TT500 off of him, and I wish I didn’t move so I could go racing with him.
What up Terry!! Finally got a chance to look over your site. I’m very impressed. You better have a spot for me when me and my girl move to TN so I can work in your machine shop and have a kid to give yours a bit of racing competition. Stay in touch.
